Hop on - Hop off Biking and Boating around Inle Lake

Visiting Inle Lake is not just about being on the water but also about discovering the Shan and Intha villages on the banks of the river. We bring our bikes along on our private boat and stop every now and then for an hour of biking on the banks of Inle Lake passing traditional villages.

Pa O for a day trekking

Our all-time favorite trek to Pa O hill tribes from Shan State to get to know their life, visit their villages in the hills, eat their food and have the chance to dress like a Pa O (fun, at least for the picture!).

Kayaking on Inle Lake passing through Intha villages on stilts

A Shan afternoon ending with a wine tasting

Probably the best way to arrive in Inle Lake! Mountain bikes are ready for you to start a 4-5 hour biking trip to Indein. The trip is partly off-road and technically easy with most of the roads flat or downhill. Biking through numerous Pa O villages in an area where few foreigners have been before is a great experience. Stop on the way to enjoy the fantastic views over the lake and the Shan country side. Lunch is included in a local village.

A spectacular and fun way to get a close insight to the traditional boat racing of the Intha people. During the year, different communities on the lake practise to become the yearly champion at the boat racing events in October. We let you participate with their training whereby 2 teams of 15 women on each boat practise and compete against each other. An unforgettable event that is supporting Intha women on the lake and preserving the boat racing culture.
