Visiting ancient Lanna kingdoms and mountains

Of course, one of the famous ancient Lanna cities is Chiang Mai, yet there are plenty of other lost Lanna kingdoms in the mountainous northern part of Thailand including Lampang and Nan. Lampang is a charming town in a region that is still dreamy with a rather turbulent history. Discover traces of diverse tangible and intangible cultural heritage aspects, that include British, Burmese, Siamese and other influences while soaking in the beauty of nature, small villages and friendly locals. In friendly Nan, we visit nature and walk with park rangers, talk with farmers and have dinner at local homes to get to know the people of Lanna and the history of this last independent kingdom close to the Laos border with its magnificent ancient temples and palaces.
